Application comparison between post bronzing process and first bronzing process

2021-09-06

Compared with the two bronzing methods, post bronzing is an ideal method, which brings convenience to label graphic design and expands the application range of bronzing graphic. However, due to the limitation of the equipment's function, the cost of the label is relatively high. The first bronzing process is suitable for the processing of small labels with simple graphics and text, with low cost and wide application range. It is a commonly used method in small and medium-sized printing plants.

1. Post bronzing process. The post bronzing process uses ink, and the bronzing parts are installed behind the printing station of the labeling machine. The web material is first printed and passed through a drying device, the ink dries instantaneously, and then bronzing on the material surface or the ink surface after the ink is dried. Since the ink has been dried, the juxtaposition and overprinting of bronzing graphics and text has no effect on the roll material, and ink smearing will not occur.

2. First bronzing process. It is used in intermittent paper feeding printing machine, using common ink, and the hot stamping part is installed in front of the printing station of the label machine. Since the ink used is oxidative polymerization type drying, it takes a certain time for the ink to completely dry after printing, so the bronzing graphics must avoid the ink. The best way to avoid the ink is to bronzing on the web material in advance, and then printing, so that the printed graphics and the bronzing graphics can be separated (side by side). If you print on hot stamping graphics, because the anodized aluminum is a metal surface, the ink is only volatilized, conjunctival, and has no penetration, and the surface of the anodized aluminum is smooth and ink-free, so it is not suitable for printing. Hot stamping can prevent the ink from smearing and ensure the quality of label printing. First bronzing means that the roll paper is bronzed first and then printed on the labeling machine. Post bronzing refers to printing first and bronzing last. The key to hot stamping and hot stamping is the drying of the ink. There are two situations in the relationship between bronzing graphics and printed graphics: parallel and overprinting. Due to the different inks used, the function of the labeling machine is divided into two types: first bronzing and post bronzing.
